Accessing CRISP Applications

CRISP offers multiple applications, each with different requirements for access. Some CRISP services require that your organization enter into a signed agreement with CRISP. For privacy and security purposes, CRISP also often requires that your employer or a clinical supervisor approve your request for access. Please use the tabs below to learn more about gaining access to specific CRISP platforms.

Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)

Fulfilling the PDMP Registration Mandate (effective October 1st, 2016)

Clinical users register for access to the Maryland Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) data through CRISP exclusively. Registration is simple, free of charge, and takes only a few minutes. Users only need to complete registration once. Since PDMP access is based on individual licensure, please use your personal email to register. Your PDMP registration will not expire once completed. Registering for the PDMP only fulfills the State’s Registration Mandate. To gain access to patient data and ensure you are compliant with the PDMP Use Mandate, please use the instructions below.

 

Fulfilling the PDMP Use Mandate (effective July 1st, 2018)

Access to the PDMP patient data requires PDMP registration and validation of all required licensure. In addition, depending on the methodology through which you access the PDMP, your organization may need to provide you with access to the portal. If you access the PDMP through the portal, please contact your organization’s HIE Administrator who can provide access through their HIE Admin Portal account. If you query the PDMP through an EHR, there is no need to contact your administrator. CRISP Portal

For access to clinical data through CRISP’s Portal, we require that you have an existing affiliation with a participating CRISP organization. To confirm whether or not your organization is actively participating in CRISP, please click here.

Once you’ve confirmed that your organization is an active CRISP participant, please contact your organization’s HIE Administrator at which they can provide access through their HIE Admin Portal account.

CRISP Reporting Service (CRS)

CRS is available for all Maryland hospital users, MDPCP practice or CTO participants, health care organizations with ENS panels, and Maryland state and local health department staff.
