🚀 Exciting progress in value-based care! 🚀
We’re thrilled to highlight Healthcare Business Today‘s article by CRISP’s Vice President and Executive Director, Megan Priolo, DrPH, MHS, and Jessica Heslop, Director of Engagement Strategy, which details how Maryland’s Episode Quality Improvement Program (EQIP), a value-based care initiative under the state’s innovative AHEAD model, saved $20 million in its first year by improving data sharing and care coordination.
The key to its successful implementation? Intentional partnerships across state health agencies, hospitals, clinicians, payers and health and data exchanges. We’re grateful for our collaborative partners who helped make this program possible: Maryland Hospital Association, Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC), MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society.
